Jo Beckett-King is the author of the Bea Bellerose mysteries published by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. Her debut middle-grade novel, The House of Found Objects, was released in July 2025, and the sequel, The Lost Jewels of Room 713, is available for preorder.
Originally from the north of England, she spent several years in Paris after graduating from university. Following a stint in New York, she now lives with her husband in San Francisco, where she writes and works as a French-to-English translator. In addition to her middle-grade fiction, she writes for adults; her work has been listed for the Bath Children’s Novel Award, the Bristol Short Story Prize, and the Bridport Prize in the UK.
